This is how we do it:

Discover the truth about alcohol, why it is addictive, and what to do about cravings.  Learn why alcohol marketing is so pervasive and how it's almost impossible to avoid.  Build your own set of tools and tactics to handle all the ups and downs of life without having to rely on alcohol as a numbing agent.  Once you understand the simple science behind alcohol and why your body is doing exactly what it is designed to do, your thinking will start to change and it will become easier to say no.

Now you have the knowledge about how alcohol affects you physically and mentally, it's time to discover how you really feel about it.  Do you really like the taste?  Does it really help you sleep?  Does it really make you relax?  Take a look at where alcohol shows up in your life and examine whether or not the thoughts and beliefs you hold are actually true.  Identify the emotions you have attached to alcohol and discover how your feelings drive your behaviour, and what to do about it.

The last stage is learning how to enjoy living in your world without wanting alcohol, and taking action to move forward without shame, guilt, labels or having to put strict rules on yourself.  Make your own decision about whether you want to quit drinking, cut down or take a break.  It's entirely up to you.  No more feeling like you are missing out, because your toolbox will be full and you are confidently building a happier, healthier life for you and your loved ones.  

Here's how the program works:

1. Complete a module a week for 12 weeks
at a time and place that suits you

Each module will take about an hour to complete, but give yourself time during the week for doing the exercises, journalling, extra reading or to dip into the bonus resources.  You can access the content from anywhere, at anytime, on any device.  Download the app to make it really accessible.

2. Attend your BONUS PRIVATE COACHING SESSION with Noelene as soon as you can

These sessions are priceless and where you will really get the individual attention you need and deserve.  Work with Noelene to map out your own personal strategy and plan so that it suits you, your life, and your circumstances.  This is not just another self-paced program where you are left to figure it out for yourself.  

3.  Attend either or both of the weekly Q&A support meetings  - anonymously if you prefer

Join Noelene in the live, twice weekly meetings on Zoom for extra support and join in some group coaching if you want.  These meetings are private and not recorded and only open to clients of Rural Sobriety.  Feel free to join with your camera off if you prefer - it's perfectly okay if you do want to remain anonymous in the meetings.

4. Jump into the private community for connection, support and friendship

It is said that the opposite of addiction is connection.  Having a supportive community of like minded peers is invaluable, particularly as drinking can leave us feeling so alone and isolated. Noelene is in the group daily, so join in regularly to really get the most out of your program.  And of course there is the option to post anonymously if you would prefer to.

Module 1:  Setting Up For Success

Make sure you have all the right tools from the very beginning to get the most from the program.  Understand the Four Pillars of Sobriety and how they fit into your personal plan.  Preparation is the key.

Module 2:  Building A Strong Mindset

Identify where you are in the stages of change and map out a plan for moving forward.  Explore how your mind works and how The Pause can be so helpful when you are feeling stuck.

Module 3:  Understanding The Science

Learn the science behind alcohol - it's super easy - and when you know it everything else starts to make sense.  Explore how it impacts on your physical, emotional and mental health and identify ways to support your body. 

Module 4:  Using ACT - The Super Tactic

This is the one crucial tactic that will help you move from feeling like you are on the alcohol merry-go-round  to being able to live a life without alcohol holding you back.  Practise using the ACT Technique everyday on the things that have been holding you back from quitting in the past.

Module 5:  The Keys To Lasting Change

Embrace and implement these concepts right from the start.  Learn why having a positive mindset is crucial to your success and why overdrinking is not your fault but it is your responsibility.

Module 6:  Alcohol And Your Body

Take a look into what happens to your body when you stop drinking and how quickly healing can begin.  Learn how to support the changes with good nutrition, and why getting good sleep is crucial in the early days.

Module 7:  NURTURE Your Mind, Body and Spirit

Focus on nurturing your mind, body and spirit to give it every chance of healing well.  Self care is essential in recovery, so map out your individual plan for the future with these tools, tactics and lifestyle changes.

Module 8:  Navigating Tricky Emotions

Learn the truth about how alcohol impacts emotions like anxiety, sadness, anger and more.  Explore strategies to navigate through tricky emotions that inevitably come up, and how to implement them in the moment.

Module 9:  Understanding Addiction

Addiction and recovery looks different to everybody.  It's a very personal journey.  Take a look at binge drinking, blackouts, moderation, secret drinking and what drives the behaviours.  Discover why labels are not helpful.

Module 10:  Reinforcing A Positive Mindset

You have been practising the power of positivity for a while, so now is the time to look at building emotional resilience, ending negative self-talk and stilling that voice in your head.  Keep adding more tools to your toolbox.

Module 11:  Implementing Lasting Changes

The first year can be challenging, so get ahead of the game by having a strategy in place for every event or scenario.  Learn how to navigate Aussie culture without alcohol and what to do when you hit a rough patch.

Module 12:  Stepping Into Your New Life

You're feeling healthier, gained the knowledge about alcohol and built a well stocked toolbox for going forward.  You have a rock solid plan for navigating your future confidently and without feeling like you are missing out.
